Located just 6 miles north of Leadville in a private community, Bear's Den has some great amenities to offer for the whole family whether it be wintertime skiing or summertime hiking the Continental Divide Trail! Upon entering this cabin you will surely notice the attention to detail throughout. Laundry room for your convenience, an open kitchen with plenty of seating, views of Chicago Ridge, and a private lake in the back! Smart Television connected to internet. Landline Phone, and Wireless Internet throughout the home as well. Bear's Den has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a loft space with 2 additional single beds that can host up to 10 guests along with a pullout couch. The owner provides firewood!

Policies
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations are fully refundable less a 10% cancellation fee if cancellation notice is received greater than 30 days before your scheduled check-in date. Cancellations within 30 days will forfeit the full value of the reservation. Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Due to our high-alpine environment, roads into Lake and Eagle counties can become snow packed and may close temporarily. No refunds will be given due to variable weather and/or road conditions. Four wheel drive vehicles and/or chains are highly recommended traveling in the mountains.
Deposit Policy
All rentals require a 50% deposit at time of booking to secure your reservation. If not received, the reservation will be automatically released. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival and will be charged automatically to the credit card on file. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at time of booking.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful, set in a privileged location with breathtaking views. It’s incredibly comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We had an unforgettable week celebrating my 50th birthday, surrounded by the most stunning scenery I’ve ever experienced. It’s also conveniently located near Ski Cooper, making it perfect for a wonderful few days of skiing with my husband and daughters. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create such special memories.
Wonderful place for a quick stay. Was clean and had had plenty of space. Directions to get in didn’t have the code (sounds like maybe it was removed from Airbnb because it is a phone number) and the communication was challenging to figure that out but overall it got resolved. .
This should be a wonderful place to stay, but needs maintenance. Several things were broken or not working including an exterior door that wouldn’t lock, a bathroom blind that wouldn’t close all the way, and the baseboard heaters in the basement didn’t even get warm. There was also a smell coming from one of the basement rooms that got worse over the couple hours we were there, clearly a sewage issue, as it started to come from other rooms as well. I was able to contact our host and she was able to make arrangements for us to move to another property, definitely not ideal late at night as we should be settling in, but the next place suited us well and an agreement was made for compensation. Again, should be a great place just needs much TLC before opening for guests again.
